This page explains the key costs, estimate components, and useful tips to know when designing a flower stand (“フラスタ”).
Contents
The cost of our flower stands (“フラスタ”) consists of the following three elements:
This is the basic cost for creating the flower stand. The estimate is calculated by combining the following elements: “Base Price,” “Price Adjustments,” “Options,” and “Decorations.”
A separate delivery fee is required depending on the delivery location (this includes the removal fee). Up to three flower stands per delivery are included without extra charge. From the fourth unit onward, an additional 2,000 yen per stand will be added.
An after-hours fee applies for deliveries or removals outside business hours. If both delivery and removal fall outside business hours, each will incur a fee. Up to three stands are included without extra charge; from the fourth unit onward, an additional 1,000 yen per stand will be added.
This is the base design for a flower stand (フラスタ). Our shop offers two main types of base designs, each with a different minimum price. The fee includes the basic flower cost, materials, labor, and dismantling/disposal fees.
This is the basic flower stand design with a single stage (one flower section). The base price is ¥40,000 (tax excluded).
This design features two stages of flowers (upper and lower sections). The base price is ¥50,000 (tax excluded).
If we were to calculate the estimate simply by adding decoration items and other options on top of the base price, the customer’s final payment might end up being higher or lower than the actual costs required to produce the flower stand. To prevent such discrepancies, we adjust the base price by taking all relevant factors into consideration.
The cost may increase or decrease depending on the color scheme, as certain colors make it easier or more difficult to achieve volume. Based on the tendencies below, we adjust the price according to the colors and their proportions. Depending on the required coloration or design, we may use high-quality artificial flowers to achieve better color expression. Please note that customers cannot specify the use of fresh or artificial flowers.
● Colors that make it easy to secure flower amount: “Yellow/Orange”, “Pink”, “White”
These colors have a wide variety of flowers available year-round, including many affordable options. Because of this, it is relatively easy to secure enough flower amount and achieve a full-looking arrangement.
● Colors that make it difficult to secure flower amount: “Green”, “Red”, “Purple”
Red and purple—popular for their elegant and mature impression—often have fewer flower varieties depending on the season. Many of these flowers are more expensive, and larger ones may require bloom control, making it challenging to secure enough flower amount throughout the year. Non-foliage green flowers are also limited, and sometimes require dyeing, which makes it harder to create fullness in the arrangement.
● Colors that are extremely difficult to secure flower amount: “Blue” and “Special Colors”
Blue and light-blue flowers are extremely limited in natural varieties, and few have the size or durability suitable for flower stands. Colors such as black, gold, silver, and rainbow do not exist naturally, so artificially dyed flowers are used. These flowers are scarce and often expensive, making it very difficult to secure enough flower amount and achieve fullness compared to other colors.
When decorative items such as panels or motifs are placed within the flower area, or when a hollow space is created in designs such as arches, the total flower amount may be lower than what is assumed in the base price. Conversely, designs that require a fuller appearance may increase the amount of flowers needed. We adjust the flower amount accordingly based on the design.
However, our adjustments follow the shop’s internal calculation standards, so the reduced flower amount does not directly translate to a proportional price reduction. Due to factors such as minimum purchase quantities, disposal risks, and fixed costs including materials, labor, and waste processing, the base price cannot be entirely deducted even if the fresh flower usage becomes zero. There is a limit to how much adjustment is possible, so please keep this in mind.
Flower stands are products influenced by overall demand trends in the floral industry. Throughout the year, during periods when general flower demand increases, fluctuations in material prices, along with difficulties in securing procurement, logistics, and production capacity, significantly increase the overall production workload.
Therefore, in order to maintain stable quality and delivery standards, we apply seasonal price adjustments as a means of securing the necessary operational capacity.
● High Season: periods when the floral industry is at peak demand (approx. 1.5× regular pricing)
Mid-March to early April, 5 days before and after Mother’s Day (2nd Sunday of May), Late December
● Middle Season: periods of increased demand in the floral industry (approx. 1.2× regular pricing)
Early March to mid-March, Mid-April to late April, Early December
● Low Season: periods with relatively stable production conditions
All periods outside of the above dates
Additional fees will be charged depending on the optional design elements added to the flower stand.
This category includes designs where the flowers are shaped into forms other than the standard oval—such as a heart shape, designs that intentionally create layered color sections like a rainbow, designs that add borders or frames around the flowers, or designs that express a specific shape within the arrangement.
This option creates a floral design by arranging flowers onto a panel that is cut to match your desired shape. The price varies depending on the total surface area of the panel.
*For safety reasons, full-motif designs are generally created using artificial flowers.
This option creates flowers in an arch shape. Available shapes include round arches, heart arches, and cat-ear arches. Due to structural reasons, it is made using artificial flowers, and the price varies depending on the total length and thickness.
This option allows you to add separate bouquets or flower arrangements to the stand flower, or to place artificial flowers in areas where fresh flowers are normally not arranged—such as the space between the upper and lower tiers, or the lower base area.
You can request specific flower varieties to be included in your flower stand. The estimate will vary depending on whether the requested flower is a **MUST** requirement or a **WANT** preference.
*Only varieties that can be procured as cut flowers are eligible.
● What is a MUST designation?
This is a designation that guarantees the use of the requested flower variety. For fresh flowers, we prioritize securing the flowers regardless of market conditions, lot availability, or quality variations. Because unused portions may need to be discarded, the estimate must include this waste risk, resulting in a higher total cost. For artificial flowers, since volume varies by flower type, the cost of purchasing the specified artificial flowers is directly added on top of the standard flowers used to balance the arrangement.
● What is a WANT designation?
For fresh flowers, if the requested variety is reasonably obtainable with low waste risk, we will purchase and use it, but usage cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the estimate is not affected. WANT designation is not available for artificial flowers.
Adding balloons or small decorative items to your flower stand can create a more impressive look. Additional decoration may incur the following costs or conditions:
If you prepare decoration items yourself, you may bring or send them to us using the methods below:
We can also prepare balloons and other items on your behalf, but purchasing them yourself through specialty shops is often more cost-effective.
You may attach your original custom-printed panel to the flower stand. For appearance and durability, we recommend ordering the print from a professional printing shop (e.g., Kinko's, Prio, Accea) and bringing it to us.
We have a partnership with Kinko's Jimbocho. If you meet the conditions below, you can receive special benefits:
Benefits: 10% OFF the panel printing fee / Free shipping to our shop
Balloons are a common item used to enhance the volume and visual impact of a flower stand. However, because they tend to be large in size, their use may be restricted for venues or flower stands that have size limitations. Balloons are generally made of either latex or foil. Since many are produced by overseas manufacturers, their sizes are often indicated in inches (1 inch ≒ 2.54 cm).
Flower stands decorated with paper flowers have also become popular. Please note that due to humidity, paper flowers may sag or appear shrunken. Kindly consider this understanding in advance. When installing paper flowers on a flower stand, the process falls into one of the three patterns below, which will affect the estimate. Please inform us of your preferred pattern when requesting a quotation.
It is possible to install illuminations using battery-powered LED lights. Lightweight battery-operated types are usually acceptable, but illuminations that require larger batteries may be prohibited depending on venue regulations. Please be sure to check with the event management company in advance. If you bring your own items, please also bring the required batteries or power packs.
Fabric decorations are also a common item, used for covering the base or adding accents around the flowers in various ways. If there is no specific request, we usually use a material called “nonwoven fabric.” We can also handle special materials such as tulle, organza, lace, velour, or silk. However, since we must judge the texture and color online when purchasing these materials, those who have particular preferences may feel more comfortable purchasing the fabric themselves at a fabric store and bringing it in.
Instead of using a standard stand frame, you can choose special frames such as iron stands or cone stands. These options provide a more luxurious look compared to regular stands and are perfect for cool, stylish designs.
Before contacting us, we recommend sketching out your own image or concept. Please feel free to use our original Flower Design Sheet. If there are height restrictions due to venue regulations, a short-type stand may allow for better use of the available space. Also, when designing your flower stand, there are several points we would like you to understand regarding its physical structure and the size of decorative items. Please review these as well.
To create a flower stand, a water-absorbent floral foam is placed inside a bucket, and the flowers are inserted into it to form the overall shape. Flowers must be inserted into this floral foam to absorb water; otherwise, they will wilt quickly. Therefore, each stem needs to be inserted approximately 5–10 cm into the foam.
Depending on the flower type, the maximum stem length is generally around 80 cm. In addition, there are limits to the angles at which stems can be inserted into the bucket, so the area that can be expressed using fresh flowers is naturally restricted (approx. 60 cm tall × 70 cm wide). In the reference diagram, the red area indicates the approximate range where fresh flowers can be placed.
* Although it is technically possible to expand the fresh-flower area by using a special bucket or raising the foam inside the bucket, we currently do not adopt these methods due to safety concerns after installation.
For design requests that are extremely large or exceed these physical limits, we may make appropriate adjustments. We appreciate your understanding.
Understanding the approximate sizes of panels and balloons makes the design process much easier.
Flower colors can only be specified in broad categories. We are unable to accommodate requests for detailed nuance colors, references using images, or color-code-based specifications.
Thank you for your understanding.
● Examples of acceptable broad categories: 【Yellow, Orange, White, Black, Brown, Green, Light Blue, Blue, Purple, Pink, Red】
※ Green, Purple, and Pink can be specified in light or dark tones.
● Examples of difficult detailed colors: 【Wine Red, Off-White, Cherry Blossom Pink, Teal, etc.】
The price of artificial (artificial silk) flowers varies greatly depending on their quality. Our shop uses products from “Tokyo-do,” the top-quality artificial flower manufacturer in Japan. Their flowers look realistic enough to be mistaken for fresh ones, and the price range is generally 1.5 to 2 times higher than fresh flowers. Therefore, using artificial flowers does not reduce the cost compared to fresh flowers.
